The Alabama Accountability Act Gets Personal

Gloria and Keeynaad live in Elyton Village in Birmingham, a public housing community a stone’s throw away from Legion Field.   Keeynaad was enrolled in a Birmingham public school, but it simply was not the educational environment Gloria wanted for him. Not every parent faced with less than optimal education options is as determined as Gloria. Gloria was continually willing to make personal sacrifices to create educational opportunities for her son. Unfortunately, she did not have the resources to do that on her own until the Alabama Accountability Act made a tax credit scholarship available for Keeynaad.
